Lockdown Kits for High School

Eric and his helpers assembled and delivered 100 emergency lockdown kits for each of the classrooms at Sylmar Charter High School.

The school has had to go on lockdown several times in the past and did not have emergency lockdown kits on campus. Twenty-three scouts and parents outfitted each classroom with these kits, and now the school is prepared for future emergencies.

Each lockdown kit consists of a five-gallon bucket with a toilet seat lid. Inside the bucket, there is toilet paper, wet wipes, biohazard bags, vinyl gloves, a privacy screen, a bag of cat litter, and a roll of duct tape. The duct tape is also used in the case of a shelter-in-place emergency.
