Built and Placed Birdhouses and Bat Houses

Logan and his helpers constructed and placed 80 birdhouses and 20 bat houses at Hoover YMCA Park in Ohio. They also prepared 100 Eastern Bluebird house kits for community members to build and take home.

The project cost $1200 and took 486 service hours. Many of the houses were constructed with high quality cedar, screws and nontoxic paint, so they will last for years.

Logan designed the project to help repopulate 11 different bird species, as well as bats, that are dwindling in Ohio. The park and the surrounding community has now become a much needed area for boosting bird and bat populations. This project will positively affect the future of birds and bats in central Ohio for many years to come.
