Constructed World War I Memorial Trail

Benjamin and his helpers spent more than 400 hours researching the 88 soldiers from his county who died in the service during World War I.

The team used multiple local, online and National Archives sources. They worked with the local park board to design and place 17 signs along an all-but-forgotten boulevard, which was previously dedicated to honor them. Benjamin and his team uploaded the soldiers’ information to a free history app and website. They also created a website to share all of the information they found. They shared a binder of this research with local libraries.
